On June 14, 1963, The Beatles made their 27th (and final) appearance at the New Brighton Tower Ballroom, and this is the original poster that promoted the show. It was presented by Brian Epstein (NEMS Enterprises), and also featured Gerry and the Pacemakers (along with 5 great supporting groups..."Merseysides Greatest").
The New Brighton Tower Ballroom was a 5,000 person venue that sat beneath the 567-foot New Brighton Tower in Wallasey, Merseyside. It was probably the Beatles favorite venue in the early years, located just a few miles from Liverpool.
This poster measures 20" x 29 1/8", and is printed on fairly thin stock. It remains in very good condition, with some light handling and light staining in the lower left corner area. There are no major flaws such as large tears, and the poster has had no restoration work. Given the rarity of this poster, I would say it's in very desirable condition. This poster comes from Brad Rodgers of whocollection.com...it's the real deal, and here's a link to the last sale I can find of this poster in 2005, www.christies.com/LotFinder/lot_details.aspx?intObjectID=4480847.
